Hey, I’m Cortnie – Your Blonde Whisperer & Layer Slayer Welcome to Fox and the Hair—where great hair meets good vibes and dry shampoo is practically a love language. I’ve been in the hair game for 20 years (yep, before TikTok existed), and I specialize in blonding that turns heads and haircuts with movement so flawless, they basically have a life of their own. I’m all about helping you look high-maintenance without actually being high-maintenance. Because life’s too short to spend it battling a round brush. I trained at the Aveda Fredric’s Institute in Cincinnati and sharpened my skills at salons like Square One, Michael Salon and Spa, and Bombshell Beauty Bar. After soaking up all the experience and wisdom I could, I opened Fox and the Hair—and for the past four years, it’s been my happy place (and hopefully yours too). Here’s the real tea: I’ve been through some stuff. Life hit hard the last few years, but I fought for my peace, got cozy with healing, and came out the other side with a whole lot of emotional intelligence and a deep love for creating a space where you can breathe, laugh, and feel like your best self—inside and out. I’m laid-back, laugh easily, and firmly believe that kindness is everything. When I’m not behind the chair, you’ll find me making art (every type, even if i’m not great at it.) Writing poems instead of diary blogs. Always vibing to music with my headphones glued to my ears, or out in nature hiking, kayaking, or cruising the open road on motorcycles like a windblown wild woman. Oh—and I’m a proud dog mom to a blind rescue pup who’s living his best life at 10, thanks to my other sweet angel dog who helped rehab him before she passed. They taught me more about love and resilience than most humans.
